This is going to sound like a quirky little story. And maybe it is, in a way. But it’s also about monsters. The worst kind. So it’s also a horror story. It’s a lot of different stories. It was a standard assignment for me. I’m a monster. He was a kid. I hide under the bed, or in the closet, or just manifest out of the darkness. Standard stuff, right? It pays the bills. Not that I really have any bills to pay. There was just one problem. There were already monsters in the kid’s life. His parents.
