Shakespeare In Lust

Written by and recorded for GWA by u/GEDAudio ---- Shortly after I started posting on GWA, I was brainstorming potential audios and I suddenly remembered this apocryphal story about Shakespeare I read about once. During that original production of Richard III, a lady in the audience was so enamored of the title character that she requested Richard Burbage - the lead actor of the play - come to her house in character. Shakespeare apparently heard about it and got there first! I thought it could be fun to try and do a dramatic recreation of the story. I thought that it would make a good audio to release on National Shakespeare Day! I did a lot of research to try and make it as authentic as I could. I looked up the actor Ben Crystal's research into the original pronounciation of Shakespeare and learned the accent as best I could, as well as what plays of Shakespeare has already had success at the time and the slang that would have been used at the time. Whilst it's undoubtedly a bit of a strange audio, I really hope you enjoy listening to it darling, as much as I enjoyed making it. Audio: "Was Ever Woman In This Humour Wooed?"
